speaking of rainbows ... kade and rob did a hit and run on this rainbow serpent ... the photos don't do the size of this thing justice - we are talking massive big ginormous long and super scary ...

the weirdest thing about the dead long snake is that this corner (just before the bridge) is apparently a popular crossing point for these pythons, like a zebra crossing for snakes, and so people hit them here all the time ... go figure

on the weekend jane and me made cake - a chocolate and cinnamon flan actually ... inspired to cook in this heat ... must be mental ... we had a tea splash pool party on sunday and pretty much ate the wholething in one sitting so despite its slightly crooked disposition that is an indication of its mucho deliciousness
