Kade got DJ to dress up as Santa and roped in Lee with the volunteer 

fire truck to drive around the community handing out showbags to the kids ....

feast, stockings and presents .... xmas eve

for christmas day lunch and dinner we went to friends Tomoko and John's house 

in town where the feasting continued (japanese banquet!)

 and remains of the feast in the morning ...

and

tonight we fly off to  T H A I L A N D  for 2 weeks of much excitement at Cat and Corey's wedding ! ! !

Kade finally got his wishes come true with a pig on the spit in the backyard

he got up at 5am to make a bed of hot coals and get the pig ready 

sailor and liya helped ... ( and photo bombed )

the wee piggy roasted over the coals for something crazy like seven hours

until it was ready - falling off the bone ...

on banana leaves

and then about 30 people ate it all up !

we had a single night in Brisbane on our way back from NZ so we raced to GOMA to see this ....
